Orientation week in UWCCR
It's been 19 days since I arrived on campus. The place is so green and beautiful, it's better than in the pictures. There are 8 residences, mine is called El Coco. It's an all-girls residence and I really like everyone there. My room is very cozy, we don't have much space though. Until the 24th of August, we had orientation weeks. We bonded with the members of the residence, they introduced us to our tutor group and just socialized with people. To be honest, I was a bit lost these days. We didn't have a strict schedule so we had to figure out on our own what to do. I spent time with new people but that became quickly exhausting for me so often I just stayed in my room, and watch movies. We also went for a camp day, both second and first years. It was very fun, we danced, the second years introduced different national families and. I became a part of the Euro family and also the Eastern European family. We also had some important presentations about going out of campus and mental support and well-being. Since school started I feel so much more organized and comfortable, but I will write about that more briefly later in another blog post :)
