Arriving back to UWC after December Break
It was hard to say goodbye to my family and friends but I was very excited to finally be back at school. I was happy to meet the people I have been living with for the past few months. It's hard to admit but I also missed my room here.
The day after my arrival school already started. I was a bit tired but I was proud of myself because I could adjust very quickly. Studying, in the beginning, was a bit hard. I rather wanted to spend time with my friends so I hung out a lot in people's rooms just talking and having fun. A few weeks into school I realized that I have lots of duties and studying to do so I was trying to focus on that. It was pretty hard, to be honest. I was very defocused in the first few weeks.
Doing good at school this semester is very important to me since it counts toward my predicted grade that I'm going to send to colleges where I'm applying to. I have phases where I just simply cannot focus and I just feel guilty about not studying. This happened in the beginning when I got back from Budapest. Now my focus is getting better and I hope I will achieve the things I want to, this semester.
